About this role
About the Department
Under administrative direction, performs administrative and professional accounting work. Responsibilities include management by directing the following titles in the business department: financial, accounting, purchasing, inmate trustee accounts and other business related activities for the assigned facility. Supervision is exercised over a staff of professional accounting and clerical employees. This individual is involved in hiring, training and employee performance reviews for the business department staff. All activities and processes must be in accordance with policy and procedures as well as the rules and regulations of the Agency, State Auditor's Office, State Department of Administrative, and any other entity as applicable. Performs related work as required.

Minimum Qualifications
Training: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in business or public administration, finance, economics, accounting or mathematics including at least six hours in accounting.
Experience: Four years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid experience in accounting, auditing, financial management or advanced level banking, including two years in an administrative or supervisory capacity.
Other Qualifications
APPROVED SPECIAL AGENCY SUBSTITUTION: Equivalent full-time Lead Worker and/or Team Leader work experience may be substituted in lieu of Supervisory work experience on a year-for-year basis.

- I have less than five (5) years of experience in accounting, auditing, financial management or advanced level banking.
- I have five (5) years to less than ten (10) years of experience in accounting, auditing, financial management or advanced level banking.
