About this role
About the Department
This incumbent reports to the Director of PREA Compliance for the Division of Corrections and Rehabilitation. The incumbent must obtain training and certification as a National Criminal Information Center (NCIC) terminal operator, responsible for conducting background checks on agency employees, visitors, and offenders. Responsible for preparing and monitoring weekly, monthly, and annual reports for the department. Responds to and prepares information to fulfill requests for legal inquiries. Reviews investigative reports and monitors outcomes. Occasional travel is required. Other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
Training: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in criminal justice, corrections, social work or related behavioral or social science field.
OR
Substitution: Additional full-time or equivalent part-time paid experience as described below may substitute for the required training at a rate of one (1) year of experience for every thirty (30) semester hours of required training.
AND
Experience: Two (2) years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid professional experience in a corrections, probation/parole, law enforcement, social work, recreation, religion or related behavioral or social science field.
OR
Substitution: Graduate coursework from an accredited college or university in criminal justice, corrections, social work or related behavioral or social science field may substitute for the required experience at the rate of fifteen (15) semester hours of training for every one (1) year of experience.
For Positions in the Correctional Industries Sales Incentive Program
Training: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in business administration or marketing.
OR
Substitution: Additional full-time or equivalent part-time paid experience as described below may substitute for the required training at the rate of one (1) year of experience for every thirty semester hours of training on a year-for-year basis.
AND
Experience: Two (2) years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid experience in sales or marketing.
