This position provides advanced courtroom and case management support by maintaining an accurate record of court proceedings, assisting judicial officers during hearings, and ensuring the efficient operation of courtroom activities. Responsibilities include preparing and processing court documents, managing case files, entering and updating case information in CourtView, scheduling hearings, reviewing filings for procedural compliance, processing judgments, warrants, summonses, and other legal documents, and responding to records requests.
The incumbent serves as an arraignment case manager, supports court operations through quality control and data accuracy, assists with training and cross-functional assignments, and provides exceptional customer service to judicial officers, attorneys, justice agencies, court staff, and the public. The position requires adherence to court rules, statutes, and established procedures in a fast-paced environment, flexibility to work rotating non-standard schedules, extended hours, weekend or holiday duty, and occasional travel to outlying court locations as needed.

- Proficiency using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Experience level (50+ wpm) or expert level (60+ wpm) keyboarding proficiency
The Work Hours
Full-time court employees are currently scheduled to work 37.5 hours per week. The work schedule for this position is Tuesday - Saturday or Sunday - Thursday after initial training of Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Position Duties
Graduation from high school or completion of a General Education Development (GED) certificate AND one year of office clerical experience AND the ability to keyboard at least 40 words per minute (net).
Substitution:
Additional office clerical work experience will substitute for the high school diploma or GED certificate on a month-for-month basis.
Completion of 36 semester credit hours or 48 quarter credit hours of coursework from an accredited college will substitute for the year of required office clerical experience.
Completion of an appropriate vocational training course of study such as legal secretary, paralegal, or office skills will substitute for the required office clerical experience on a month-for-month basis.

- Keyboarding certification dated within one year showing a keyboarding speed of at least 40 words per minute (net).
- Post-secondary transcripts, if using education to meet minimum qualifications.
- A list of three (3) professional references who have had supervisory authority over you, including your most recent supervisor, along with their daytime contact phone numbers and email addresses.
KEYBOARDING CERTIFICATION REQUIRED
Attach a recent keyboarding certification (dated within one year) to your application that verifies your keyboarding speed of 40 wpm or higher (net). Online keyboarding tests (often at no cost) are accepted with a valid website address noted on the document. Acceptable websites include: www.ratatype.com and www.typingtest.com.

If utilizing this education, you must show that the education credentials have been submitted to a private organization that specializes in the interpretation of foreign educational credentials and that such education has been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education programs; or an accredited U.S. post-secondary institution reports the other institution as one whose transcript is given full value, or full value is given in subject areas applicable to the curricula at the post-secondary institution. It is your responsibility to provide such evidence when applying.
SELECTION PROCEDURE
