Position Duties
This position supports victims, families, and service providers by guiding claims, offering assistance, and maintaining strong working relationships throughout Philadelphia County. As a Criminal Justice System Specialist 1, you will perform the following duties:
- Outreach Support: Build partnerships with agencies and providers to speed up claim processing
- Claim Review: Examine losses, documentation, and restitution information to prepare accurate determinations
- Victim Advocacy: Assist victims in understanding the claim process, gathering materials, and navigating available services
- Technical Guidance: Provide clear information to law enforcement, service providers, and other partners about program requirements
- Call Assistance: Respond to incoming calls and messages to give timely updates, referrals, and program details

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Philadelphia. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.

Minimum Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Successful completion of the commonwealth’s Criminal Justice System Specialist Trainee program (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- One year of professional experience in criminal or juvenile justice, law enforcement, or victim services, and a bachelor’s degree in the social or behavioral sciences, criminal justice, law enforcement, or a related field; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.

- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
