Position Duties
This position oversees daily custodial and laundry operations to help maintain a clean and safe facility. The work involves supervising staff, organizing schedules, and ensuring adherence to safety and cleanliness standards. As a Custodial Work Supervisor, you will perform the following duties:
- Staff Supervision: Lead custodial and laundry employees in cleaning, sanitation, and linen tasks
- Work Scheduling: Develop and post schedules, assign duties, and maintain employee time records
- Quality Inspection: Conduct regular checks of work areas and recommend adjustments to improve results
- Safety Guidance: Train staff on proper equipment use, chemical handling, and safe work practices
- Supply Management: Maintain records and order supplies and equipment needed for custodial services

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment, 7.5 hours per day; 37.5 hours per week
- Work hours are 1st shift (6:30 AM to 2:30 PM), Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. You may be required to work evenings and weekends as needed.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

Minimum Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year as a Custodial Worker 2 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Two years of experience performing custodial work.
Additional Requirement:
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirements:
- A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
- This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
- Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
