Custodian St. Michael the Archangel Parish

Title: Custodian 
Location: St Michael the Archangel in Worthington, Ohio 
This is an hourly position with a pay range of $18.00-$20.00. 
This position reports to the Business Manager

Job Summary: 
Maintain a clean and safe working environment for all staff and visitors by personally performing the following essential job responsibilities. The schedule for this position will include weekend shifts.

Essential Job Responsibilities: 
1. Sweeps, vacuums, mops, scrubs, waxes and polishes floors using industrial vacuum cleaners and scrubbing and buffing machines.
2. Sometimes using ladders, dusts and washes walls, cleans ceilings and dusts and polishes light fixtures. Washes and replaces blinds. Washes windows.
3. Clean public restrooms.
4. Moves cabinets, boxes, furniture, crates and equipment to clean areas.
5. May remove stains from such surfaces as rugs, drapes, walls, and floors using chemicals and cleaning solutions.
6. May also sweep walks, rake leaves, cut grass, remove snow or perform other incidental seasonal tasks.
7. Empty trash cans and replace liners.
8. Re-fill soap supply dispensers.
9. Perform any other cleaning tasks as directed.
10. Regular attendance and punctuality are essential for this job.

Other Position Responsibilities: 
1. Complies with federal, state and local safety laws.
2. Maintains a neat and safe work area.
3. See to the disposal or recycling of waste, newspapers and aluminum.
4. Performs other duties as assigned
