About the Department
LSU Health New Orleans Division of Property and Facilities is seeking motivated applicants for the position of Custodian Supervisor B.
This is work supervising custodian crews in maintaining the cleanliness, sanitary conditions and appearance of assigned LSUHSC buildings.
This position is considered an essential personnel position and must be available to respond to campus emergencies after hours and during campus closures.
The employee may be assigned to the emergency team that remains on campus and or evacuates to an off-site location during emergency events.
This position may be placed on the On-Call rotation.

Position Duties
Two years of experience in custodial, housekeeping, groundskeeping, or food service work.

Other Qualifications
Job Duties:
- Supervise the cleaning of campus buildings
- Conduct inspections of respective areas.
- Special events, Plan, gives instruction on and inspects the completion
- Process payroll time sheets weekly
- Process leave requests daily
- Counsel employees for both outstanding and unsatisfactory job performance
- Complete annual performance reviews based strictly on expectations listed on the plans for the previous year
- Manage work orders
- Maintain building supplies inventory
- Assists other departments as needed; b) campus emergencies; c) work orders
Position-Specific Details:
The person applying must possess a valid Driver's License.
Pre-employment Drug testing, Physical and Criminal Background check are required.
Appointment Type: Probationary Appointment
Compensation: $17.18 per hour. There is also an additional $1 Longevity pay for hours worked only. Rate may be increased depending upon applicants’ qualifications.

Hours of Operation: 6:00 am - 2:30 pm Monday - Friday
