Job Duties:
- The CWS Case Worker Assistant provides services to remedy abuse, neglect, exploitations or self-neglect of adults or children unable to protect themselves. Human Services Specialist I will assist Human Services Specialist II's with providing casework services in the area of assessment, family preservation and foster care.
- Provides or arranges transportation to resources in the community as a part of social service aide plan.
- Participates as a member of a professional team to plan services for clients.
- Makes requests for educational, medical, dental, law enforcement records etc.
- Makes referrals to service providers, family group conferencing, Seneca search etc.
- Assists with the completion of Foster Care Review Board packets, IV-E packets, Home Studies and ICPC packets etc.
- Assists with the transportation of children.
- Assists with child and family visitation and teaches appropriate parenting and household management skills.
- Assists with other administrative support functions to include correspondences, copy, fax, email etc.
- Performs other related duties as directed by supervisor. Perform shelter/emergency response duties when needed and as directed (FTE only).
- Ensures that personal identifying information (PII) is properly used, accessed, gathered, shared and disposed. To protect the agency networks and applications by safeguarding systems, equipment and data.
Position Duties
High School Diploma and one (1) year or more of child welfare relevant program experience.
Associate Degree or higher may be substituted for all or part of the work requirements.
