About this role

Overview:

We are currently seeking a Cybersecurity Intern to join Primo Brands this summer in Tampa, FL. The Cybersecurity Intern, reporting to Cybersecurity Management, will provide security project task and administrative support for the Company’s cloud based, on-premises and outsourced systems / applications. They will reduce security risk, enforce policies, coordinate testing / remediation, and collaborate with the Enterprise IT teams to uphold the existing security framework and integrate essential security elements and software.

 

Duration: Tuesday, May 26, 2026 – Friday, July 31, 2026. Must be available for orientation during the first week (5/26 – 5/29), final project presentation during the last week (7/27 – 7/31) and at least 7 of the 8 weeks between 6/1 – 7/24, excluding unpaid company holidays (Friday, 6/19 & Friday, 7/3). Any known absence must be communicated in advance to the Recruiter, Internship Program leaders, and the Hiring Manager.


Schedule/Hours per week: Monday – Friday, 30 - 40 hours per week during the 10-week program. Ability to work in office 3 – 5 days per week based on individual team schedules. Remote workdays and overtime hours must be approved in advance by your manager.

 

Eligibility: Ability to commute to the Primo Brands Headquarters in Tampa, FL throughout the program. Some travel may be required, including overnight. Currently pursuing a degree in Information Technology, Information Security, or a related discipline at an accredited institution. Junior undergraduate standing preferred; motivated candidates at other academic levels will also be considered. This internship is designed as a paid professional experience and does not include academic credit.

 
Compensation: $28.00 / hour

Responsibilities:

In an agile environment where operational efficiency and safety are the driving forces to provide exceptional products to our consumers, the Cybersecurity Intern performs a critical role in ensuring that our systems are secure and resilient. As a North American company, it is imperative that we maintain the highest level of confidence in our brand, systems, and infrastructure. This key role is essential to both short- and long-term company goals and objectives.

 

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

 

  • Develop and present a final presentation showcasing project results, insights and recommendations to senior leadership that improve efficiencies, reduce risk and/or benefit business activities at the conclusion of the internship.
  • Administer and support Information Security policy defined by the CISO, including the usage of standard operating procedures and automated processes.
  • Conduct security monitoring, alerting, and incident forensics.
  • Ensure availability and security of information systems, administer awareness training, perform security tasks, and support IT and business projects.
  • Provide regular security reports, maintain cyber hygiene, serve as technical support contact for cybersecurity, and communicate requirements and updates effectively.
Qualifications:
  • Results driven with a clear understanding of protecting infrastructure, systems, applications, data, and users against known and unknown threats.
  • Customer-oriented and able to effectively deliver effective cyber security compliance for the company.
  • Collaborative and inclusive, with strong influence and business acumen skills.
  • Curious with a learning mindset.
  • In pursuit of certification in one or more of the following CompTIA Security+ or Advanced Security Practitioner (CASP+), Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), GIAC Security Essentials Certification (GSEC) or Certified Incident Handler (GCIH), Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP), Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP), Offensive Security Certified Professional (OSCP), CISSP, CISM, CISA or CRISC security standards
  • Genuine interest in the administration of security standards, vulnerability audits, penetration testing, and forensic IT audits
  • In pursuit of cybersecurity compliance in both the US and Canada as well as SOX, NIST CSF, CIS Benchmarks and privacy regulation knowledge
  • Ability to develop skills in Governance, Risk Management, Compliance, Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity, OS hardening
  • Potential to learn Microsoft E5 Security Stack (including Sentinel SIEM / XDR and Defender EDR), Proofpoint Email Threat Protection and CyberArk PAM
