YOUR IMPACT

The OpenText Cloud Services organization is seeking a skilled Data Analyst to work within the Cloud Services & Enablement team – responsible for applying modern statistical and data analysis techniques to business challenges and opportunities, and specifying, designing, and deploying modern, effective, and AI/ML-assisted data solutions and associated capabilities.

 

This role supports operational excellence, acceleration, optimization, and transformation, in the enablement and delivery of OpenText’s suite of industry-leading and AI-enabled SaaS applications to our valued global customers, ultimately helping to support our vision to be the best Information Management company in the world where information elevates every individual and every organization to be their best.

WHAT THE ROLE OFFERS

  • Interpreting business and technical data, analyzing results using statistical techniques
  • Developing and implementing data analyses, data collection systems and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality (intersecting business and technology domains)
  • Acquiring data from primary or secondary data sources and databases
  • Using automated tools to extract data from primary and secondary sources
  • Removing or correcting corrupted data and related problems
  • Developing and maintaining databases and business reporting
  • Performing analysis to assess the quality and meaning of data
  • Managing own backlog of data analysis requests
  • Working with diverse and cross-functional teams on cloud-related data projects
  • Identifying and specifying data products and data sources
  • Improving and managing data quality (in conjunction with data owners)
  • Continually learning and applying new techniques to solve new and existing problems
  • Demonstrating flexibility to undertake additional projects/responsibilities if needed
     

 

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field
  • Proficiency in SQL, Python, R, PowerBI, and data visualization tools.
  • Familiarity with machine learning techniques highly desirable
  • Proficient working with structured and unstructured data
  • Strong data modelling, analysis, and problem-solving skills
  • Skilled at selecting and applying appropriate statistical techniques
  • Skilled at interpreting statistical results and drawing relevant and accurate conclusions
  • Skilled at producing clear and appropriate recommendations from conclusions
  • Skilled at creating impactful reports and presentations suitable for varied audiences
  • Experience cleansing, exporting, transforming, and loading, varied and complex datasets
  • Familiarity with hyperscaler cloud services (AWS, GCP, Azure) desirable
  • Understanding of Master Data Management (MDM) principles desirable
    • Good written and verbal communication skills

Salary Range: $60,000 - $90,000; Depending on the candidate’s education, experience, skills, geographical location, and alignment with internal equity and external market, actual salary may vary and be higher or lower than the range posted.
