Description of Work
Salary Range: $57,983.00 - $101,470.00Salary Grade: NC16

If you are looking for a rewarding career, please consider the Data Analyst / Division Data Administrator opportunity with the North Carolina Department of Adult Correction. This is a full-time position (40 hours per week) with State Benefits, including health insurance, paid vacation, paid sick time, paid holidays, as well as retirement.
Position will be responsible in Data Analytics reporting within Administrative Services, Raleigh NC.
- Position requires using the Integrated Payroll System (BOBJ) to run reports for all levels of Management.
- Position requires using Business Objects Reporting (SAP/BOBJ)
- Position will serve as section Share Point Administrator and be responsible for Share Point updates.
- Position will also run financial reports and assist in preparing documents and data for management for meetings, cost projections/planning and will also work within a team on various special projects.
- Will work with various sections within NCDAC to provide and support reporting.
- Ability to communicate with facilities, other sections within DAC and Management to provide request in report request and information.
- Position provides data analytics to Prison Administration using a variety of formats.
- Responsible for converting data into various formats as requested by management being pulled from various reporting systems.
- NCAS Financial Reports.
- Manipulate raw data and give projections based on data as requested.
- Proficiency in Excel to include applying formulas, running and creating functions, pivot tables, charts and merging data.
Management Preferences:
- Demonstrated accuracy and attention to detail / proven technical proficiency.
- Demonstrated team working skills
- Microsoft Excel, Business Objects Reporting SAP/BOBJ
- Knowledge and Working Experience and working knowledge of NCAS Financial Reports.
- Must be able to manipulate raw data and give projections based on data as requested.

State employees are encouraged to apply for positions of interest even if the salary grade is the same as, or lower than, their current position. If selected for this position, a new salary will be recalculated taking into consideration the quantity of relevant education and experience, funding availability, and internal equity. Based upon these factors, a pay increase/decrease MAY result.

Bachelor’s degree from appropriately accredited institution in a discipline related to the area of assignment with two years of programmatic experience related to the area of assignment;

An equivalent combination of training and experience.
