Colliers Engineering & Design is seeking an Intern to join our Data Analytics Development team for Summer 2026. The candidate will be involved with transforming raw data into organized and valuable reports that gather meaningful business insights.

- Work with our Data Analytics/Power BI developers in the Software Development Department.
- Perform tasks on Power BI desktop and service (Basic to Advance) like managing ETL (Extract Transform and Load) workflow, model relationships, and creating visuals.
- Perform modeling tasks independently using advance Power Query steps, DAX formulas, Measures etc.
- Keep track of various reports, dashboards, and targets.
- Connecting various data sources to Power BI and Fabric (SQL based BST, Files, SharePoint, Azure, or such databases).
- Analytical thinking for translating data into meaningful statistics & information.
- Developing and implementing data analyses, data collection systems, and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality of data.
- Acquiring data from primary or secondary data sources and partnering with a data warehouse team to maintain databases.
- Filtering and cleaning data to ensure accuracy.
- Creating visualizations and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Developing dashboards and other tools to help stakeholders understand key metrics.
- Documenting requirements for reports and data visualizations.
- Microsoft Fabric tasks, including reviewing pipelines, monitoring refreshes, documenting and cataloging workspaces and assisting with basic dataset or model updates.
- Supporting ad hoc analysis requests.
- Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Analysis, or IT related field.
- Experience using data visualization tools (Tableau or Power BI).
- Familiarity with SQL databases.
- Ability to interpret results using statistical techniques and communicating findings effectively.
- Able to identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets.
- Should be creative in terms of producing visuals and showing data in presentable format.
- Ability to read, write and understand English for purposes of comprehending written job-related communications and verbal instructions and interactions.
Compensation: $18.00 to $26.00 per hour (depending on qualifications)
