Medica will host a 12-week, paid Internship Program. Interns will have the opportunity to network within Medica and with other Interns through weekly Lunch and Learns and opportunities to hear from Executives. Each internship offers a meaningful experience and impactful projects you’ll be able to discuss with future employers. At Medica, we look forward to our Summer Internship Program each year.  

Medica's Data Analyst Intern supports the analytics team by collecting, organizing, and analyzing data to support operational decision-making. This internship provides hands-on experience working with real business data, building reports and dashboards, monitoring trends, and documenting data processes. The intern will collaborate with analysts and stakeholders, gaining exposure to analytical tools, KPIs, and continuous improvement initiatives.

By the end of the internship, the intern will have developed an automated operational dashboard and accompanying documentation.

Key Accountabilities

  • Assist with data collection, cleaning, and basic analysis
  • Create and maintain reports or dashboards under supervision
  • Support KPI monitoring, trend identification, and process improvement efforts
  • Document data processes and help maintain organized datasets
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas

Required Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or a related field
  • Basic understanding of data analysis concepts

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with tools such as Excel, SQL, Power BI, Python, or similar (coursework or projects acceptable)
  • Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and communication skills
  • Curiosity and a willingness to learn

This position is an Office role, which requires an employee to work onsite at our Minnetonka, MN office, on average, 3 days per week. 

The full hourly pay range for this position is $16.40 - $21.10. Annual salary range placement will depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, education, work experience, applicable certifications and/or licensure, the position's scope and responsibility, internal pay equity and external market salary data.  In addition to compensation, Medica offers a generous total rewards package that includes competitive medical, dental, vision, PTO, Holidays, paid volunteer time off, 401K contributions, caregiver services and many other benefits to support our employees.
