WHAT YOU’LL DO:

As a Data Analyst within the GPSO team, you will play a key role in supporting operational and financial decision-making across The Papé Group. You will work with data from multiple systems to identify trends, improve reporting accuracy, and deliver actionable insights that enhance efficiency, profitability, and overall business performance. This role offers a blend of recurring reporting and ad hoc analysis, providing exposure to both day-to-day operations and strategic initiatives.

You will collect, clean, and validate data to ensure consistency and accuracy, while developing and maintaining dashboards and reports that track key performance metrics. Partnering closely with department leaders, you will translate business questions into data-driven insights, support ad hoc requests and deep-dive analyses, and help uncover performance gaps and opportunities for improvement. You will also assist in building and optimizing SQL queries to efficiently extract and transform data.

In addition, you will identify and resolve data quality issues, recommend improvements to reporting processes and data structures, and support planning and forecasting efforts with historical analysis. You will document reporting methodologies to ensure consistency and scalability, while contributing to special projects and seasonal initiatives that require timely, accurate data insights.

This is a part-time internship that will run from approximately May to October.

WHAT YOU NEED:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 1–2 years of experience in data analysis or a related role
  • Proficiency with data tools such as SQL, Excel, and Python
  • Experience with reporting and visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, DAX)
  • Strong understanding of data structures, relationships, and basic database concepts
  • High attention to detail with a focus on data accuracy and integrity
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to validate results and challenge assumptions
  • Ability to interpret data and translate findings into actionable insights
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present to non-technical audiences
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing business needs
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and take initiative
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively across teams
