About the Role

This is a pivotal role in empowering the team by delivering high-quality data, detailed reports, and actionable insights. These outputs are utilized to monitor operational performance, analyze trends, and guide strategic business decisions. This role requires collaboration across teams to ensure accurate reporting and innovative solutions that drive measurable improvements in risk assessment and management.

Job Duties and Responsibilities 

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Translate large raw data sets into easy-to-understand visual representations that display facts, patterns, and other relevant information and may include dashboards, reports, charts, graphs, infographics, or visual presentations.
• Evaluate credit card operational activities for opportunities to improve overall general business operations.
• Interpret links between data being pulled and the impact on the department and/or overall business.
• Monitor calculated metrics and assess if they are accurate.
• Understand basic data and data structures, and query and interpret data to understand and improve business functions. Modify or write SQL queries for Power BI reporting or analytics.
• Compile applications, statistical portfolio, and performance data from multiple sources to provide management insights.
• Communicate and clarify with business areas to determine reporting needs and business requirements that are related to the long/short-term goals of the business.
• Present relevant insights to management clearly.

Skills and Qualifications 

• Basic coding of Structured Query Language (SQL) experience is preferred.
• Business Intelligence Platform, i.e. Power BI or equivalent (Tableau) experience, preferred.
• Advanced PC skills, including intermediate proficiency with Excel. 
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate across all levels of the organization including colleagues.
• Attention to detail, analytical, organizational, multi-tasking, and problem-solving skills.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Data Science, Analytics, or a related field (i.e. Business), or 1-2 years of practical business experience in financial services with consumer finance, preferred.
