Pay Range: $75,160.02 to $112,740.16
Actual pay will be based on various factors, such as a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, proficiency for the role, and internal equity. In addition to base pay, Kwik Trip gives 40% of pre-tax profits back to our coworkers with bonuses ranging from 8-12% of each coworker’s gross annual wage depending on company profitability and offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, 401k, paid time off, and more.

About the Role
As a Data Engineer at Kwik Trip, you will design, build, and maintain data pipelines and infrastructure that power business insights and decision-making. This role focuses on creating scalable solutions for data ingestion, processing, and integration while ensuring accuracy and reliability across systems.
What You’ll Do
- Build, test, and maintain data pipelines and integrations
- Design and evolve infrastructure to ingest, process, and extract meaning from data
- Troubleshoot issues and implement effective solutions
- Develop real-time integrations when required
- Assist in creating and updating technical documentation and data flow diagrams
- Support technical roadmaps using emerging data technologies
- Analyze data to identify trends, anomalies, and correlations
- Perform data cleansing, normalization, and model updates
- Design and implement statistical models and natural language processing modules
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or related field
- 0–2 years of experience in data engineering or similar role
- Advanced SQL knowledge and experience with relational databases
- Familiarity with big data technologies and building scalable data architectures
- Strong analytical skills for working with unstructured datasets
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Even Better If You Have
- Proficiency in Python, Scala, or R
- Experience with data lakes, data streams, Databricks, and Snowflake
- Knowledge of ETL tools such as Informatica, SSIS, or Talend
- Familiarity with software development best practices and source control
- Understanding of message queuing and stream processing
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday onsite at our La Crosse Campus
