Job Description:
This job is responsible for driving accurate, complete, and timely delivery of data. Key responsibilities include working with business stakeholders and technology teams to direct data management activities and ensure availability for use by appropriate consumers. Job expectations include managing execution within the enterprise data management standards, data quality, and control practices.
Responsibilities:
- Works with Line of Business partners, including Compliance, Audit, and Risk to understand needs and produce data solutions, often times in partnership with Technology
- Identifies gaps in data management standards adherence and works with appropriate partners to develop plans for resolution, including recommendations so that relevant risk and compliance policies and standards are met
- Analyzes emerging needs for data to address risk, regulatory, or business enablement priorities and appropriately plans for interim and target state solutions within data management policies
- Monitors key performance indicators and internal controls in accordance with established thresholds, standards, and policies
- Execute counterparty data transformation initiatives focused on improving data integrity, including identifying upstream data quality gaps and implementing preventative measures across the data supply chain
- Drive acceleration of data defect resolution through deep root cause analysis, tracing issues to point of origin and influencing partners to remediate and prevent recurrence
- Support data sourcing transformation, including migration to centralized single sourcing and alignment to authoritative data providers in accordance with enterprise data strategy
- Decompose and analyze business processes and data flows to identify control breakdowns and inefficiencies, and embed sustainable improvements through enhanced controls, monitoring, and automation
- Develop and deliver clear, actionable insights and thematic analysis to senior stakeholders, enabling fact-based decision making and supporting governance and control forums
Required Qualifications:
- 6+ years of experience in data management, data quality, or data governance within complex, multi-source data environments
- Advanced SQL proficiency with experience working across enterprise-scale databases (e.g., Teradata, Oracle) and analyzing complex data architectures and transformation logic
- Demonstrated expertise in root cause analysis across data and business processes, with ability to trace defects to point of origin and drive remediation through influence
- Proven ability to decompose and evaluate business processes, identify control gaps, and execute against transformation initiatives to improve process effectiveness
- Strong experience designing, implementing, and monitoring operational & data controls to ensure data quality and mitigate operational and regulatory risk
- Experience supporting regulatory reporting or operating within highly controlled data environments
- Strong data visualization and storytelling capabilities (e.g., Tableau, PowerPoint), with ability to translate complex findings into clear, actionable insights for senior stakeholders
Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Data Management, Information Systems, or related field
- Experience with counterparty data domains (e.g., legal entities, hierarchies, reference data)
- Industry-recognized data management certifications (e.g., CDMP, DCAM, DAMA or equivalent)
- Experience supporting data sourcing transformation or target-state data architecture initiatives
- Familiarity with capital, liquidity, or other regulatory frameworks
- Experience with automation and workflow tools (e.g., SharePoint Online, Power Platform) and exposure to AI-enabled data capabilities
