Our Marine organization is a trusted provider of innovative solutions for the worldwide boating and boat building industry, and we recently expanded our scope to lead the boating industry into an electrified future. Dometic has won numerous NMMA Innovation Awards over the years and we are always striving for new ways to make boating easier, safer, and more enjoyable.
We are seeking a creative and detail‑oriented Data Science Intern to support our Sales/Data Analytics team. Internship program will begin on June 1st through August 7th, 2026, located in our Litchfield, Illinois office.
This internship project focuses on building a scalable market intelligence capability to support sales and marketing initiatives within the marine industry. The intern will leverage web scraping and data integration techniques to capture, structure, and analyze publicly available dealer and inventory data from boat builders and their dealer networks. The resulting insights will be integrated with internal sales data to improve visibility into dealer behavior, inventory movement, and market demand.
Role Summary
The Data Science Intern will focus on creating analytical methods and scalable pipelines to estimate dealer sell-through and demand signals using external market data.
Primary Focus Areas:
*Develop Python-based scraping and ingestion pipelines
*Engineer sell-through and inventory aging metrics
*Use SQL for data transformation and feature development
*Leverage Power Automate to trigger and monitor data pipelines
*Deliver analytical datasets into Power BI for stakeholder consumption
