Job Description
We are seeking a Data Systems Engineering intern to support on-site IT initiatives at our Plymouth, Michigan office. During this internship, your key responsibilities will include:
- Support data ingest, storage, and transfer activities
- Archival data compression and transfer from NAS (network attached storage)
- Assist with the management and upkeep of our business unit's server rooms at the Plymouth facility
- Support technical vehicle data management software development
- Support IT cost savings initiatives
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Systems, Mathematics or a related field
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Basic understanding of computer hardware and software and networking
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Prior exposure to cloud compute
- Minimum GPA of 3.0
- Ability to commit to a minimum 6-month internship period (20 hours per week)
- This role will be in Plymouth, MI.
