Salary: $115k-$160k (depending on experience)
The Database Administrator III supports the Navy by designing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise database systems supporting global Live Virtual Constructive (LVC) environments. This role focuses on database architecture, performance optimization, security, and high availability across mission-critical systems.
Essential Functions:
- Design, implement, and maintain enterprise database systems (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL) in support of NETTN operations.
- Optimize database performance through tuning, indexing strategies, and query optimization.
- Implement and maintain database security controls, including encryption, access controls, and auditing in accordance with RMF and STIG requirements.
- Manage database backup, recovery, replication, and high availability solutions.
- Support database integration with enterprise applications and systems.
- Perform capacity planning, monitoring, and troubleshooting of database environments.
- Ensure compliance with DoD and Navy cybersecurity policies and database STIGs.
- Support system accreditation (ATO) activities including documentation and remediation.
- Other duties as assigned or required.
