Responsibilities:
Deep Learning (Algorithms) Engineering intern to evaluate and benchmark different feature extraction strategies for images, spanning classical CNNs, Vision Transformers, and autoencoders. Intern will design fair comparisons, run experiments, and present actionable recommendations to select the right approach for downstream tasks (classification, retrieval, detection, or segmentation) on our data sets.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Students working towards an M.S. or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Electrical/Computer Engineering, or related field
- Experience with self-supervised learning and representation learning
- Knowledge of Vision Transformers and state-of-the-art vision models
- Understanding of evaluation metrics and statistical testing
- Prior work with image datasets
Minimum Qualifications:
- Pursuing an M.S./Ph.D. in Computer Science, Electrical/Computer Engineering, or related field
- Coursework or experience in machine learning and deep learning
- Proficiency in Python and at least one of PyTorch or TensorFlow/Keras
- Familiarity with CNNs and/or Transformers in vision
