Some duties may be delegated to the Dermatology Technician by the physician or RN. This position will serve as the primary support for an assigned Dermatologist. The Technician requires additional duties which include demonstrating knowledge and scribing of medical terminology to assist in documentation during Dermatology office visits and/or procedures. The technician can be asked to scribe for physicians (history, physical, patient instructions, pending orders. Required Qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED from an accredited program
• Gradate from an accredited Medical Assistant program or school
• Complete the department specific program modules for medical assistants
• BLS Certification through American Red Cross
• This is an entry-level role. No experience is required with Certification/Registration as a Medical Assistant and Dermatology Medical Assistant Certification Or 1 year of directly related experience as a medical assistant with no Certification/Registration as a Medical Assistant and Dermatology Medical Assistant Certification. Employees in role before November 24, 2024 will be grandfathered based on previous experience requirement
• Those hired into this position must complete the review/skill validation program within 90 days of hire
• Computer experience
• Ability to use equipment and related supplies for selected patient population
• Basic Medical & Nursing terminology

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1+ years of experience related to department or specialty
• Ambulatory Care experience
