Diesel Mechanic - FL

We are seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic with a strong background in heavy vehicle maintenance 

and repair, particularly with Diesel engines and vacuum trucks. In this role, you will be responsible for 

maintaining and repairing our fleet of vehicles and heavy trucks, ensuring they operate at peak 

performance. Diagnostic experience is essential to efficiently troubleshoot and resolve mechanical 

issues. U.S. Military Veterans, National Guardsmen, Reservists, and/or Military Spouses highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct Regular Maintenance: Perform routine preventive maintenance and repairs on a fleet of heavy trucks and vehicles, with a special focus on vacuum trucks.

• Order Parts: Manage inventory and order necessary parts to ensure timely repairs.

• Track Equipment: Maintain accurate records of equipment usage and maintenance.

• Assist Lead Mechanic: Collaborate with the lead mechanic on complex repairs and troubleshooting, including diagnostic procedures for vacuum trucks.

• Maintain Logs: Keep detailed maintenance logs and records.

• Work Under Pressure: Handle repair tasks efficiently, even in challenging conditions and weather

Qualifications:

• Diesel Engine Knowledge: Must have experience with Diesel engines and diagnostic experience.

• Vacuum Truck Experience: Experience working on vac trucks is highly preferred.

• Driver’s License: A valid Driver’s License is required. CDL is a plus but not mandatory. Clean driving record is essential.

• Experience: Previous experience in the waste industry or vacuum truck experience is a plus.

• Bilingual: Proficiency in additional languages is a plus.

• Skills: Ability to work under pressure and perform well in various weather conditions.

• Team Player: Strong ability to assist and collaborate with others.
