About this role

The International Motor’s Procurement Digitalization group is seeking a Digital Innovation Product Owner to join our team.

 

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a system or systems within the Procurement Digital landscape, to include ownership of updates, prioritizing system enhancement requests and thoroughly understanding the business need/reason for system changes. This role will work cross functionally with corporate IT for coding, hardware and software updates as well as key stakeholders and the business to understand their needs.

 

They will ensure that the projects under their span and control are on time and on budget by tracking issues to resolution and managing the delivery of system enhancements. They will engage with both internal and external teams to support and facilitate projects as necessary.

 

This role is also responsible for providing descriptive and diagnostic analytics along with visualization. A successful candidate must possess strong analytical skills and expertise with SQL, Excel and Power BI to analyze large data sets. The ability to clean, normalize and connect data from multiple sources is a must.

 

This is a highly visible position in a supportive, fast-paced environment.

  • Relationship Management: Build and maintain relationships with end users, cross-functional teams, vendors, and management.
  • Proactive Problem-Solving: Anticipate potential issues, proactively manage changes, and ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. 
  • Implementation Follow-Through: Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and ensure successful implementation. 
  • Deadline Management: Handle tight deadlines in a high-volume, fast-paced environment. 
  • Vendor and Team Interaction: Collaborate with vendors and cross-functional teams to meet program timing and quality expectations. 
  • System Support: Provide support for existing systems while managing plans for current and future system implementations. 
  • Communication: Maintain open and frequent communication on program status with cross-functional and procurement leadership teams. 
  • Bachelor's degree and at least 2 years of process improvement, lean or six sigma experience

OR

  • Master's degree and at least 1 year of process improvement, lean or six sigma experience

OR

  • At least 5 years of process improvement, lean or six sigma experience
  • Qualified candidates, excluding current employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States.   • Communication: Excellent communication skills / strong business partner
  • Team Collaboration: Cooperative and self-motivated team player with a focus on end-user needs. 
  • Time Management: Proven time management and organizational skills. 
  • Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects (average of 3-5 projects simultaneously), knowledge of Agile Methodologies and ADO management
  • Presentation Skills: Capable of making presentations to senior leadership and large audiences
  • Professional Growth: Committed to continuous professional development. 
  • System Knowledge: Knowledge of Ivalua as a source to contract and supplier lifecycle management tool
  • Advanced MS Excel Skills: Expertise in MS Excel.
  • Strong Microsoft Tools Skills: Strong skills in MS PowerPoint, Word, Teams, MS 365.com, and Power Automate.
  • Strong Power BI Skills: Data visualization experience in Power BI and DAX, M languages
  • Data Analytics/Management: Experience with data extraction, cleansing, manipulation, and generation using SQL
