Digital Marketing Assistant
Position Overview
The Digital Marketing Assistant supports the Digital Communications and Branding team in executing campaigns, managing day-to-day operations, and ensuring brand consistency across all channels. This role helps keep projects organized, supports content creation, and helps the team deliver consistent, high-quality work that reflects the mission of Youth Villages.
This position is ideal for someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, creative, and proactive. The right candidate communicates clearly, manages multiple priorities well, and works effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Support the digital marketing team with planning, coordinating, and executing campaigns across social media, email, web, and other channels
Assist with in-person events, including content capture, photography support, and on-site coordination
Draft and edit marketing materials, including emails, social media copy, and other communications
Assist with testing and quality assurance for digital campaigns to ensure accuracy and performance
Help manage the “Contact Us” form, including routing inquiries and ensuring timely follow-up
Support social media community management, including monitoring comments and messages and responding appropriately
Provide administrative support to leadership, including: Managing invoices, credit card reconciliation, scheduling meetings and maintaining calendars, preparing meeting notes and recaps
Digital asset management systems (organizing, tagging, uploading)
Support vendor coordination, including printers, photographers, and other external partners
Assist with managing department resources, including storage, equipment, and supply ordering
Conduct periodic reviews of trademarks and brand usage to ensure compliance
Stay up to date on marketing/design trends, tools, and best practices
Work across multiple platforms and systems to support team needs
Collaborate with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment
Perform additional duties as assigned
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, public relations, graphic design, or a related field required
1+ year of experience in marketing, communications, or digital marketing (internships included)
Strong writing and editing skills with familiarity in AP style
Basic understanding of design principles, including layout, typography, and brand consistency
Familiarity with brand guidelines and the ability to apply them across materials
Ability to manage multiple tasks and stay organized
Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Experience with digital platforms (social media, email marketing, website updates) preferred
Familiarity with tools such as Canva or similar design platforms is a plus
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage projects from start to finish
This is an in-office position based in Memphis, TN
Occasional evening or weekend work may be required to support events
