About this role

Responsibilities:

Job Summary: As a Digital Marketing Content Manager I, you'll work closely with a Senior Content Manager to write, fact-check, and prep content for digital channels, including our websites, emails, and social media to support strategic marketing / communication goals. You'll also be tapped to surface trending insights that H-E-B can quickly act on to connect with our consumers.

Key Responsibilities & Essential Functions:

• Communications:

  • Writes / edits content for digital marketing campaigns, including websites, emails, social media, display banners, streaming radio, video scripts, etc.
  • Monitors H-E-B's digital presence; sifts for insights and trends; keeps pulse on the online sentiment of customers
  • Reviews submitted content for accuracy, completeness, and correctness
  • Establishes / ensures consistent voice and grammatical standards for each brand and campaign (e.g., H-E-B, Primo Picks)
  • Learns to work with H-E-B Partners and business units to proactively solicit details needed to create content that delivers on business goals
  • Supports / maintains content management strategy and workflow
  • Analyzes website, email, media metrics for content effectiveness; recommends adjustments to improve on business goals
  • Develops /maintains knowledge of social / digital platforms through insights, immersion, and regular interaction to create customer-first and channel-tailored content
  • Supports continuous digital innovation aimed at establishing H-E-B as a leader in digital marketing
  • Monitors competitive initiatives; stays current on digital marketing innovations; identifies opportunities for H-E-B
  • Adheres to stringent deadlines to ensure smooth flow of content projects through the department and allow for special projects, pre-work, and rush assignments

Qualifications & Key Requirements:

Work Experience:

  • 1+ years Experience related to digital marketing, editing, or journalism - Required
  • Experience in advertising and / or brand copywriting - Preferred

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Creating, editing and publishing social media content
  • Manage digital marketing campaigns 
  • Trend analysis and response 
  • Working knowledge of all digital platforms as storytelling vehicles and advertising capabilities - Required
  • Working knowledge of online marketing techniques - Required
  • Working knowledge of content management systems (CMS) and HTML - Required
  • Relationship-building skills - Required
  • Verbal / written business communication skills - Required
  • PC skills, including MS Office applications - Required
  • Ability to interact with customers and clearly present concepts - Required
  • Ability to work through issues with a strong sense of ownership, drive, and urgency - Required
  • Ability to evaluate and concept digital marketing solutions in the evolving landscape of digital media, including social, mobile, video, etc. - Required


Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree Communications, journalism, a related field, or comparable experience - Required


Licenses/Certifications:

Physical Demands & Working Conditions:

  • Function in a fast-paced, retail, office environment
  • Travel by car or plane with overnight stays
  • Work extended hours
