About this role

Team Overview:

Impinj is seeking a Digital Verification Intern specializing in Verification to join our Digital Tag Design Team. This role will work closely with digital verification engineers and digital RTL designers. In this position, you will improve our digital tag verification environment.

What You Will Do:

  • Expand the UVM/SystemVerilog functional coverage model in our digital simulation environment
  • Identify unit functional coverage points uncovered through simulation
  • Design tests which address these coverage gaps by exploring previously un-exercised behavior

What You Will Bring:

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program in Electrical Engineering or a related field
  • 1-3+ years of relevant coursework experience
  • A strong desire to learn about RFID ASIC design, digital simulation environments, and digital RTL verification
  • Experience using at least one hardware description language (VHDL, Verilog, SystemVerilog)
  • Experience with at least one other programming language (C, C++, Python, Perl, Ruby, Java, etc.)
  • Strong communication and documentation skills

This Summer Internship Cohort begins on Monday, June 15 and ends September 4. The start date is firm; the end date is flexible to end early. All internship positions report at least on a hybrid basis to our Seattle office. There is opportunity for full time employment for those graduates or those entering their senior year.
