The Boeing CompanyBoeing Global Services is looking for a Director, BGS Operations – Distribution, to join the team in Hialeah, FL or Dallas, TX.
Position Responsibilities:
Drive operational excellence for the North America C&E/S&C warehouse, chemical and logistics businesses.
This is a geographically disperse organization with personnel located in multiple sites. The leader will be responsible to drive operational excellence, work across total distribution business to deliver world class performance while supporting BGS Distribution growth.
Ensure flawless delivery of products, delivered on time per customer requirement
Establish warehousing and logistics operations strategies to support C&E/S&C customer needs and business growth objectives
Establish and maintain relationships with senior leaders of key functions and major customers, to enable a continued partnership and future growth.
Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding targets goals and strong skills in operational execution to schedule and budget.
Proactively and quickly makes sense of complex issues; responds effectively to complex and ambiguous situations; communicates complicated information simply.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Minimum 3 years of experience working as a senior leader or senior manager
Minimum 3 years of experience with General Business Operations, general supply chain and/or program management
Minimum 3 years of experience working with multiple internal stakeholders and suppliers
Experience engaging with senior executive leadership and customers
Experience in a high volume operations environment
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Bachelor's degree or higher (or foreign equivalent)
Experience managing Operation, at scale
10 years of experience in logistics and supply chain for a global organization
Experience establishing and tracking key performance indicators
Understanding of Lean, continuous/process improvement methodology
Experience leading culture and organizational transformation
Experience with program management, customer/supplier relationship, and performance recovery
Experience leading through influence and partnering with cross-functional teams on projects and initiatives
Demonstrated critical-business and financial acumen in order to influence and shape strategy
A strong natural leadership style that moves people to act, motivates and inspires excellence and innovation
Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding targets goals and strong skills in program execution
Proactively and quickly makes sense of complex issues; responds effectively to complex and ambiguous situations; communicates complicated information simply
Gains others' trust by demonstrating openness and honesty, behaving consistently, and acting in accordance with moral, ethical, professional, and organizational guidelines
