Director- Demand Planning- Supply Chain

Louis Vuitton Americas is seeking a Director of Demand Planning, this leader will be accountable for supervising a team dedicated to Demand Planning across all product categories, you will be responsible for leading the forecasting strategy, driving a consensus-based business outlook in partnership with Merchandising, and ensuring optimal inventory positioning to maximize sales performance in alignment with LVA's growth ambitions and business strategies.

This position will report to the Vice President, Supply Chain, Logistics, Compliance & Customer Care.

Job responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

Leadership

• Managing a Demand Planning team, 5 people, including Senior Manager roles.
• Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Strong capacity for collaboration with cross-functional departments: Merchandising, Retail, Digital, Finance, Supply Chain, and LVA senior leadership team.
• Regular market visits to understand Retail needs and business context.

Demand Planning & Forecasting

• Own and lead the development of monthly and annual sales forecasts across all product categories.
• Drive the consensus forecasting process by aligning Merchandising, Retail, E-Commerce, Finance, and executive leadership around a shared and challenging business outlook.
• Monitor, challenge, and refine budget projections per category to ensure alignment with LVA business strategies and growth targets.
• Serve as the primary owner of all forecast and demand planning communications to top management.
• Anticipate demand fluctuations and provide visibility for peak seasons and key commercial events.
• Participate to strategic decision within showrooms.

Communication

• Ensure a strong work partnership with Merchandising and Retail teams.
• Provide regular and accurate reporting to Central Supply Chain teams in Paris,
• Streamline communication flows to stores and warehouse teams to improve operational efficiency.
• Partner with the Distribution Planning Director to optimize lead times in line with demand forecasts and to make sure of our forecast vision VS inventory target.

Profile

• 10+ years of relevant experience in Luxury and Fashion Supply Chain, with a strong focus on Demand Planning.
• Proven experience in leadership, people development, and a coaching approach.
• Outstanding analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to synthesize complex data into actionable decisions.
• Strong understanding of Supply Chain SOPs and forecasting methodologies.
• Experience with planning systems such as Anaplan, Power BI, or equivalent Order Management Systems.
• Agility, change management, and continuous improvement mindset.
• French language skills is a plus.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills across all business partners.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment

The appointed candidate will be offered a base salary within the range of USD $170,000- $200,000 a comprehensive benefits package including: medical, dental, vision, short and long-term disability, various paid time off programs, employee discount/perks and two retirement plans both with employer contributions.

The position requires 4 days per week on site in the New York .
