Are you an Accountant that also knows Finance?
Encore is a multi-state veterinary practice organization — 55 locations and counting, across 17 states. Our Accounting and Finance team is a small, tight-knit team and a trusted partner to the organization. We're looking for a capable leader to help bridge our Finance and Accounting teams and ensure timely data that is aligned across the department. This position is full-time, exempt, and reports directly to the CFO.
What You'll Do
- Balance sheet Reconciliations as assigned by the controller
- Key contributor to period end close
- Leading the quarterly inventory count oversight and troubleshooting
- Maintaining Lease Query (ASC 842), renewal of leases: finance and operating, develop monthly reporting of lease increases, lease renewals and important notification
- Collaborate and coordinate with facilities on real estate activity such as responsible party for building expenses and budget spend.
- Responsible for CIP and Fixed Assets
- Advocate for continuous improvement by ensuring appropriate governance structures, policies, and processes are followed.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of strategic plans and business initiatives as a member of the Finance/Accounting Management team.
- Utilize key performance measures to evaluate success and drive continuous improvement efforts.
- Coordinate and facilitate communication within the finance team to ensure timely completion of tasks and projects.
- Assist in organizing and maintaining financial records, files, and documentation in compliance with company policies and regulatory
- Conduct research and gather data to support financial analysis and decision-making processes, including but not limited to inventory, cost of goods sold and proforma analysis.
- Collaborate with the Director of FPA to assist in budgeting, month end reporting and operational metrics
- Collaborate with the Director of Data management to ensure data integrity and analysis
- Finance and Accounting system integrations
- Support M&A due diligence as we continue to grow

What You Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field
- 8+ years in accounting and finance
- Comfortable with accounting software and Microsoft Office
- Sharp, detail-oriented, and organized — even with multiple deadlines at once
- Experience working across a distributed team and multiple stakeholders
- Confidence working independently

Pay Range
