Role and Responsibilities

Reporting to the Senior Director of Marketing, AT&T Account Team, within the Mobile division, the Director of Marketing for AT&T will be responsible for leading a team of marketers who drive channel marketing strategy and execution for Samsung's most strategic carrier partnership. This role is central to accelerating Samsung's mobile portfolio growth through AT&T by building integrated, insight-led marketing programs that deepen consumer engagement, strengthen the AT&T relationship, and deliver measurable business results. The Director will serve as the primary marketing lead for the AT&T account, owning end-to-end go-to-market (GTM) strategy and execution across Samsung's full MX portfolio.

This role requires a self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset — someone who is motivated, embraces constant learning, and is not afraid to challenge the status quo to unlock new growth opportunities. The ideal candidate deeply values customer relationships, understands the complexity of the carrier ecosystem, and brings a proven track record of driving results in high-velocity, cross-functional environments. The primary areas of responsibility include product launch communications strategy and planning, digital marketing excellence, product lifecycle management, and long-range marketing planning in close partnership with AT&T stakeholders.

  • Lead, manage, and develop a high-performing team of channel marketing professionals aligned to the AT&T account.

  • Serve as the primary Samsung marketing SME and strategic partner for AT&T marketing, category, and channel leadership — building deep, trust-based relationships at all levels of the organization.

  • Develop and own the AT&T account marketing strategy, including integrated ATL and BTL campaigns, product launches, promotions, experiential activations, and digital marketing programs.

  • Own and drive GTM strategy and execution for all Samsung MX product launches at AT&T, coordinating across sales, product, category, and retail marketing teams to deliver launch excellence.

  • Lead product lifecycle management for the Samsung portfolio at AT&T — from pre-launch positioning through end-of-life — ensuring the right product, message, and marketing investment at every stage.

  • Serve as internal SME on all things digital, including Answer Engine Optimization (AEO), Generative Engine Optimization (GEO), .com/e-commerce strategy, and data clean room capabilities for advanced audience targeting and measurement.

  • Drive annual and quarterly marketing planning — documenting and communicating the marketing plan, aligning initiatives with business objectives, and managing back with AT&T stakeholders on priorities and execution.

  • Lead negotiation of annual and seasonal marketing plans and investment frameworks with AT&T, maximizing Samsung's marketing ROI while building partner value.

  • Manage the AT&T channel marketing budget, ensuring effective allocation, real-time performance tracking, and continuous optimization across initiatives.

  • Leverage partner and consumer insights to develop differentiated marketing propositions and campaigns that build Samsung brand loyalty and drive sell-through.

  • Identify content and experience gaps across the AT&T customer journey and work cross-functionally to close them.

  • Communicate channel marketing strategies, plans, and performance results to senior leadership on a regular cadence.

  • Champion a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and intellectual curiosity within the team — modeling the growth mindset and willingness to challenge conventional approaches.

Skills and Qualifications

  • 12+ years of progressive marketing experience across multiple channels, brands, segments, or categories — with direct experience in technology, telecommunications, and/or CPG industries strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated subject matter expertise in digital marketing, including AEO/GEO, .com/e-commerce strategy, and data clean room applications for audience targeting and measurement.
  • Deep expertise in GTM strategy and execution — from planning and positioning through launch, in-market optimization, and post-launch analysis.
  • Strong product lifecycle management skills — ability to manage a complex, multi-SKU portfolio from introduction through end-of-life.
  • Exceptional negotiation skills — experienced in structuring and closing annual marketing plans and investment agreements with major partners.
  • Self-starter with a high degree of intrinsic motivation; thrives in ambiguous, fast-paced environments without waiting to be directed.
  • Passionate about continuous learning — actively seeks new knowledge, emerging trends, and innovative approaches; not afraid to question the status quo.
  • Customer relationship-oriented — instinctively understands the value of deep partner relationships and builds them deliberately at every level.
  • Experience working with agencies and managing agency relationships for campaign planning and execution.
  • Experience managing large marketing budgets in a sales-driven organization.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple high-priority initiatives simultaneously.
  • Analytical/Systematic thinker: takes a well-ordered and logical approach to analyzing problems, organizing work, and planning actions.
  • Data-driven marketer: leverages available data to inform decisions and guides team to do the same.
  • Conceptual/Strategic thinker: identifies key issues and understands the big picture; translates company vision into achievable strategic objectives.
  • Exceptional communication and storytelling skills — able to present complex strategies clearly to senior executives and external partners.
  • Team builder and consensus builder: creates environments that sustain motivated, high-performing teams working toward common objectives.
  • Strong political acumen — perceptive and responsive to organizational dynamics and power structures.
  • 4-Year college degree required; MBA required.
