The Director, Corporate & Executive Communications will play an important role in developing and executing proactive storytelling aligned to company strategy and business priorities, with a focus on media relations, strategic communications, and brand storytelling.


This role will partner closely with executive leaders and C-Suite to shape and activate strategic external communications and leverage their voices to build credibility and confidence in EA’s long-term strategy. This role will also define and evolve EA’s overarching narrative around innovation, culture, and the future of entertainment – connecting tech/innovation/AI, business development, and community-driven entertainment.



Additionally, the Director will work with Communications leadership to drive comms strategy for the Enterprise, PR initiatives, secure high-impact media coverage, and enhance the company's brand perception in the interactive entertainment space.


As a key liaison and spokesperson with the media, you will craft compelling narratives, build strong relationships with top-tier reporters, and help lead strategic communication efforts across the enterprise. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment and is skilled at problem-solving and managing multiple PR campaigns while ensuring alignment with internal stakeholders and company objectives. The candidate should bring creativity to the role to infuse new ideas in earned storytelling, while being able to quickly navigate through real-time updates.


This position will be based in Redwood City, Calif.


In this role you will:


  • Manage a team focused on enterprise storytelling and narrative building.

  • Build and strengthen relationships with key journalists, editors, podcasters, analysts, and media outlets across national, trade, and digital outlets.

  • Story mine and secure top-tier business media placements that frame EA’s leadership position in the entertainment and tech ecosystem.

  • Train and prepare executives for media interviews, public appearances, and external speaking engagements.

  • Partner with executive leaders and C-Suite (EVPs) to shape and activate strategic external communications targeting the right audiences via the right channels.

  • Translate business priorities into compelling executive comms, from owned to social content, from long-form to short-form scripts, talking points, and other executive briefs and storyboards.

  • Define and evolve EA’s overarching narrative around innovation, culture, and the future of entertainment – connecting tech/innovation/AI, business development, and community-driven entertainment.

  • Develop owned, earned, and social strategies that showcase EA’s technology, AI, and innovation leadership.

  • Develop communications strategies and content that drive measurable business outcomes, build brand recognition and awareness for EA as a technology leader in entertainment.

  • Spot trends and shape content opportunities that emerge from EA’s work, platform development, and creative R&D.

  • Write and edit press materials, media pitches, Q&A documents, and executive talking points.

  • Maintain consistent messaging across all external communications, ensuring alignment with brand values.

  • Develop media briefing books and key message documents for spokespersons.


Requirements

  • 12+ years of experience in tech PR, corporate communications, or media relations, preferably in a high-growth tech company, gaming, or agency.

  • Experience as a people manager.

  • Proven track record of securing top-tier media coverage and managing press relationships.

  • Strong storytelling and writing skills, with experience drafting press releases, media pitches, and thought leadership content.

  • Ability to manage multiple strategic comms plans and respond to real-time media inquiries.

  • Experience working with executives and spokespeople.

  • Deep understanding of the tech media landscape, emerging industry trends, and digital PR tactics.

  • Strong organizational skills with an ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-stakes environments.

In the US, we offer a package of benefits including paid time off (3 weeks per year to start), 80 hours per year of sick time, 16 paid company holidays per year, 10 weeks paid time off to bond with baby, medical/dental/vision insurance, life insurance, disability insurance, and 401(k) to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
