Responsibilities
The Director of Financial Planning & Analysis is responsible for oversight and direction of financial analyses and reporting, accounting activities, including budgeting and payroll, provider contract design modeling and program administration, benchmark modeling, proforma development and maintenance, business and market intelligence gathering, analysis and reporting, strategic initiative/opportunity/market assessments and performance monitoring, related research, and other ad hoc analytics for LTC ACO and its related companies. The position is also responsible for the leadership, supervision, and mentoring of staff members. The position reports directly to the LTC ACO CEO with a dotted line to the LTC ACO Chief of Strategy and Program Development. This director will work remotely, therefore they must be able to work independently without onsite supervision, as well as manage staff remotely. In addition, they must:

● Interact effectively with LTC ACO leadership on all matters affecting strategic and financial performance of the business.
Financial/Accounting:
1. Consistently present Finance and Budget capabilities in a positive manner and adhere to guidelines and procedures as established by the Company.
2. Responsible for financial analysis and interpretation of ACO and its related companies’ performance. This includes, but is not limited to, assuring timely receipt of monthly financial statements and requested operating information. Identify operational trends, variance to budget items, and provide other analytical support as requested.
3. Lead and coordinate the preparation of performance reports for ACO and its related companies, as well as annual operating and budgets.
4. Utilize and manage financial management information and/or system and reporting tools and other systems as they become available.
5. Assist with the preparation of monthly consolidated reporting for ACO and its related companies.
6. Identify financial performance opportunities, prepare analysis and interpretation, propose solutions, and implement approved solutions. Identify operational trends, variance to budget items, and provide other analytical support as requested.
7. Analyze financial performance and key performance drivers. Create and maintain financial models to improve the predictability of results. Support the development of long-range economic models with alignment to strategic and operating plans.
8. Identification of efficiency opportunities through internal and external sources of qualitative and quantitative data.
9. Design, evaluate and administer provider contract incentive programs and administer programs with effective and timely communication to all parties.
10.Coordinate the work of the Company’s external actuaries to complete necessary analyses as needed.
11.Maintain a high-level overview of business health and bring a full scope of knowledge of all business units to help drive financial goals and investment decisions.
12.Participate in monthly close with Shared Accounting Services to ensure an appropriate transmission of financial information.
13.Prepare financial and other analyses as directed by supervisor.
14.Participate in building financial competency of ACO team.
Strategy:
1. Deliver robust analysis of strategic opportunities, providing deep understanding of strategic opportunities, providing deep understanding of market trends, competitive landscape and performance to support business cases for strategic projects.
2. Size opportunities, recommend prioritization, track benefits and validate.
3. Evaluate initiatives against the organization’s strategic priorities and ensure the relentless pursuit of selected initiatives.
4. Develop specific, detailed timelines with timetable descriptions for strategy implementation.
5. Manage implementation and review of existing / new operational strategies, analyses and models simultaneously.
6. Keep leaders informed of ongoing developments and early indications of strategy or model performance and operational metrics.
7. Prepare business case evaluations, including NPV and ROI calculations, and provide leadership with recommendations on proposals.
8. Develop cost benefit analysis for a wide array of initiatives.
9. Develop presentations and lead regular management discussions on objectives, strategies, tactics, and performance.
Other:
1. Read, research, and evaluate proposed and final laws and regulation relevant to
MSSP ACO Program, as needed.
2. Conduct human resource functions for assigned departmental staff, including, but not limited to: supervision, training, identifying and coordinating professional development needs, hiring, onboarding, performance assessment and correction,
approval payroll, scheduling, and offering recommendations for advancement or termination.
3. Participate in the interviewing, selection and training of new hires, as needed.
4. The candidate must also have proven abilities to manage multiple tasks at one time
as well as exceptional presentation and organizational skills.
5. Attend regular ACO meetings, as needed.
6. Interact at a high level with executive operational leadership and provide high level
of customer service.
7. Other duties, assignments and tasks as assigned by ACO Operations Team and
supervisor.
Qualifications
1. Bachelor’s Degree required; Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business or Accounting
preferred.
2. At least five years of related work experience; relevant work experience includes financial analysis, market research and analysis, executive level reporting, accounting entries and data analysis. Experience in healthcare administration preferred.
3. Advanced understanding of Microsoft Excel.
4. Proven ability to analyze large amounts of raw data to identify trends within the data that could be used to define and drive strategy and performance.
5. Proven ability to prepare business case evaluations, including NPV and ROI calculations
6. Must be flexible in scheduling priorities to meet changing business needs and able to travel as needed.
