Louis Vuitton America is seeking a Director of Warehouse Operations who will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing the performance, service levels, and cost-effectiveness of our distribution network across four key distribution centers (DCs) in the United States & Canada.

This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong operational background, capable of driving innovation and continuous improvement for our replenishment services to retail stores. A significant aspect of this position involves managing relationships with our Third- Party Logistics (3PL) providers, ensuring contractual internal stakeholders, including Supply Chain, Retail, Digital, and Finance to align distribution strategies with overall business objectives.

Strategic Leadership & Performance Management

  • Develop and execute strategic plans for warehouse operations that align with company goals for service, cost, and growth.
  • Establish, monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) for all DCs, focusing on operational efficiency, service levels, and cost control.
  • Implement robust performance management processes to drive continuous improvement across the distribution network
  • Oversee the achievement of service level agreements (SLAs) with retail stores, ensuring timely and accurate replenishment.

Job responsibilities

3PL Vendor Management

  • Manage all aspects of the relationship with 3PL providers operating our four DCs, including performance reviews, budgeting, balance load vs capacity and issue resolution.
  • Ensure 3PLs adhere to agreed upon operational standards, service levels, and cost targets.
  • Develop and implement joint improvement initiatives with 3PL partners to optimize operations and enhance service.

Innovation & Continuous Improvement

  • Identify and implement innovative solutions and technologies to enhance warehouse efficiency, service qualify, and cost effectiveness
  • Lead initiatives to improve replenishment processes for retail stores, leveraging best practices and cutting-edge logistics solutions
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the warehouse operations team and with 3PL partners.

Stakeholder Collection

  • Collaborate closely with the Supply Chain team to optimize inventory flow, warehousing strategies and overall logistics network design.
  • Partner with Retail leadership to understand store needs and challenges, ensuring distribution services meet their requirements
  • Work with Digital team to ensure timeliness of deliveries especially in peak moments
  • Engage with the Finance department to manage budgets, control costs, and ensure financial accountability across all DC operations

Profile

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

  • 10+ years progressive experience in Warehouse Operations Management, including multi-DC environments.
  • Proven success in managing 3PL relationships and contracts.
  • Strong expertise in warehousing best practices, inventory management, logistics technology, and supply chain principles.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive operational excellence, cost reduction, and service level improvements.
  • Experience with US and Canadian distribution networks highly desirable.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Outstanding communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, fostering effective stakeholder collaboration.
  • Ability to travel regularly to DC locations.

The appointed candidate will be offered a base salary within the range of USD $170,000- $200,000 a comprehensive benefits package including: medical, dental, vision, short and long-term disability, various paid time off programs, employee discount/perks and two retirement plans both with employer contributions.

The position requires 4 days per week on site in the Louis Vuitton Corporate Office, located in the heart of Midtown, Manhattan.
