Summary: The Division Director of Mental Health (MH) Intensive Services will be responsible for the overall management and success of the team that includes the Mental Health Residential Program, the Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) Program and the Mental Health Day Services Program. As Director of MH Intensive Services, this role will guide the organization on best practices and ensure tools, processes, and standards are aligned with operational and industry excellence, and continue to evolve the team to deliver exceptional client service.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Other duties may be assigned to meet the needs of the agency.
- Lead the MH Intensive Services team, ensuring the strategic and operational activities of the team are designed and developed in line with agency objectives and are focused on person-centered care.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures to ensure clinical adherence, compliance, and efficiency across the MH Intensive Services team.
- Cultivate a positive work environment fostering team empowerment, goal achievement, and agency success.
- Maintain team structures and meet metrics to consistently meet agency and client goals.
- Work collaboratively with other Directors for the benefit of the agency.
- Educates agency programs and community resources about MH Intensive Services.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance team efficiency and effectiveness.
- Coach, supervise, and develop program directors promoting collaboration and professional growth.
- Champion a client-centric culture and deliver excellence in client experience by meeting and exceeding service expectations.
- Facilitates communication between senior leadership and front-line staff by attending leadership meetings and serving as a conduit for important information both to and from the MH Intensive Services team.
- Complies with federal, state and company policies, procedures and regulations.
- Maintains confidentiality of information and complies with HIPAA regulations.
- Demonstrates knowledge of and supports Westbrook Health Services mission, vision, values, policies and procedures, operating instructions, confidentiality standards and code of ethical behavior.
Requirements
Qualifications & Competencies:
- A bachelor's degree in a human services or other relevant discipline, master's degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience managing teams and guiding projects.
- Experience navigating the social service system and the ability to impart that knowledge on staff.
- Ability to implement best practices.
- Demonstrated ability to understand business drivers and implement supporting strategies.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively across departments.
- Critical, strategic, and operational thinking skills.
- Excellent organizational management skills with the ability to build relationships, develop high-performing teams, and set and achieve strategic objectives.
- Empathy and passion for helping vulnerable populations.
- Advanced computer skills and relationship management abilities.
