About the Department
This position offers the opportunity to play an important role in maintaining the integrity of the State's official records while providing outstanding service to businesses, government agencies, and the public.
The DOT Project Assistant will file and index public-private partnership (P-3) documents from the South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT), and mail certified copies to stakeholders.
This position will also provide administrative support in the Secretary of State's Business Filings Division, by reviewing and processing business filings, including filings for domestic and foreign corporations, limited liability companies, limited partnerships, limited liability partnerships, non-profit corporations, and other business entities. The position will provide excellent customer service over the phone and with walk-in customers.
Position Duties
A high school diploma and work experience that is directly related to the area of employment.
A bachelor's degree may be substituted for the related work experience.
Proficient in basic computer skills.
Ability to communicate effectively.
Minimum Qualifications
Two years of administrative experience in a professional office environment.
