What We're Looking For:
  • Education: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, required. Degree in English, Journalism, Organizational Communication, Organizational Development, Or Related Degree. Graduate Degree, preferred.
  • Experience: Three years of experience in internal IT communications, required.

    • Strong experience with developing and implementing communications plans.
    • Experience in providing communications counsel to senior leaders and executives.
    • Experience in creating engaging team member experiences.
    • Knowledgeable of healthcare and IT industry and current trends.
    • Highly motivated who can follow through and work with minimal direction or supervision.
    • Ability to work and make decisions independently and collaboratively with multiple stakeholders.
    • Proficient with Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe Photoshop, Vimeo, and/or Camtasia.

What You'll Do:

Schedule: 8:00AM – 5:00PM Monday – Friday. (On call support required, as needed).

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Communications & Leadership Support

  • Serve as a strategic communications partner to senior leaders, directors, and project teams.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive internal communication strategies aligned with organizational priorities.
  • Ensure messaging is clear, consistent, and tailored to the right audiences.

Culture & Engagement

  • Design and implement integrated culture and engagement strategies that inspire, align, and motivate team members.
  • Create initiatives that promote purpose, recognition, continuous learning, and cross-team collaboration.
  • Strengthen connection to Novant Health’s mission, vision, and values.

Change Management & Adoption

  • Lead communication and change management strategies for large-scale programs and strategic initiatives.
  • Partner with project teams to drive awareness, understanding, and adoption.
  • Review and refine communication plans to maximize impact and minimize resistance to change.

Insights & Innovation

  • Conduct focus groups and feedback sessions to understand team member needs and improve communication effectiveness.
  • Introduce innovative communication approaches, tools, and channels to modernize engagement across DPS.
  • Evaluate and enhance communication frameworks (including 4P messaging) to ensure clarity and alignment.

Collaboration & Best Practices

  • Work cross-functionally with corporate communications, clinical communications, and other departments.
  • Share best practices and elevate communication standards across the organization.
  • Ensure alignment across teams for a seamless and cohesive communication experience.
