Electrical/Electronic Architecture provides complete design of the vehicle’s electrical architecture, including connectors, wiring assemblies and harnesses, electrical centers, hybrid high voltage and safety distribution systems. Our Hybrid portfolio ENABLES high voltage power and electronics backbones that support increased vehicle content and electrification, reducing emissions and higher fuel economy through weight savings. We have an exciting opportunity for an EDS (Electrical Distribution Systems) Systems Engineer, located in Dearborn, MI.

Candidates for positions with Delphi must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire.

Summary:

Selected candidate will focus exclusively on the Ford Vehicle Program within the Delphi Electrical/Electronic Distribution Systems (DEEDS) division.

Responsibilities:

· EDS (Electrical Distribution System) systems engineering role on Ford Vehicle program within the Delphi Electrical/Electronic Distribution Systems (DEEDS) division

· Wire spec/size selection, inline pinouts, power distribution, grounding, device connectors and pinouts, schematics

· Meetings with customer to understand and communicate the design which requires strong communication and relationship skills (both verbal and written)

· Verify compliance to customer’s requirements

Basic Qualifications:

· BSEE with a minimum of 3.3 GPA required

· 0-3 years of vehicle level EDS systems engineering experience

· 3+ months of relationship building experience in a corporate environment

Preferred Qualifications:

· 4-6 years of vehicle level EDS systems engineering experience

· Thorough understanding/experience of Ford’s design requirements and processes

· Strong multifunctional work experience (engineering/ECAD/validation)

· Technically oriented, and interested in learning/applying requirements

· Results oriented, makes plans and meets them
