Job Description
Shift: 8 & 12 hours PM/Night Shifts with every-other weekend and ever-other holiday
The Emergency Department Technician is responsible for a variety of tasks and services to assist in the provision of basic, non-invasive clinical and clerical support in the Emergency Department under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) and physicians. Plays an important role in patient care by assisting with vital signs, transport, patient hygiene, equipment setup, and environmental cleanliness to ensure a safe and efficient care environment. Reports and records observations and contribute to the efficient functionality of the department.

Education:
- High school diploma or GED
- Emergency Medical Tech-Basic or evidence of previous licensure as an EMT-B within the last 12 months. (WI Department of Human Services)
- Certified Basic Life Support
- Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB)
- WI Child Abuse Mandatory Reporter Training in state(s) where providing care
- WI Adult Dependent Abuse Mandatory Reporter Training in state(s) where providing care
- At least one year of health care experience in an acute care setting: emergency medical service, hospital emergency department, or military field triage and treatment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-stress environment.
- Team-oriented, with a willingness to assist in all aspects of patient care.
**Must be available the first week of employment from 8AM - 4:30PM for Nursing Education orientation.**
