- Perform plant simulations to establish baselines, simulate modifications and estimate performance enhancements to existing plant facilities.
- Perform and check design calculations and equipment sizing.
- Perform Plant Optimization Studies (Surveillance) and monitor key performance indicators to determine if existing assets are performing to expectations. When opportunities for improvement at identified the Process Engineer will take the lead in their design and implementation to increase efficiency and production while reducing costs.
- Prepare project design scopes in support of capital projects, commercial development, and plant optimization.
- Coordinates and manages capital projects in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Supervises the activities of subordinates including outside consultants.
- Prepares requests for proposal for outside consultants; prepare bid packages, reviews bids, conducts consultant selection process, and makes recommendation for award of contract.
- Coordinates project activities; assigns tasks and provides guidance to personnel responsible for specific functions or phases of the project.
- Oversees assigned projects to ensure that implementation and prescribed activities are carried out in accordance with specified objectives.
- Monitors project costs and schedule to ensure that the project does not exceed the approved budget and stays within prescribed timeline.
- Reviews the work of consultant(s) to ensure that Enterprise Products' standards and contractual requirements are being met.
- Ensure compliance with all steps of OSHA 1910.119 / Process Safety Management and DOT regulations.
