Duties

You will check tires, lights, brakes, gas or fuel oil, water, lubrication and other checks as required.,You will drive and operate tracked and wheeled tractors, both gasoline and diesel powered.,You will perform excavation work with bulldozers etc., to approximate grades.,You will operate motor graders, pulva mixers, paving breakers, backhoes, bucket scrapers, aquatic weed cutter, mudcat, and rollers of various types.,You will drive and operate tandem rollers, compressors with attachments and accessories, self-loaders, asphalt distributors, power spray guns and power driven motors.,You will perform all phases of motor grading work such as, grading to grade stakes, scarifying, mixing of materials, and road construction.,You will act as a team leader over Engineer Equipment Operators and Weigh Scale Clerks who maintain the landfills and other surface areas,

The Screen-out Element for this position is: ABILITY TO DO THE WORK OF THE POSITION WITHOUT MORE THAN NORMAL SUPERVISION. Duties performed include: Operating gasoline or diesel powered, wheeled or tracked, engineering equipment involving the utilization of power take-off units and attachments in the performance of structures and grounds maintenance, operating equipment to avoid unnecessary damage to underground utilities or structures, reading grading stakes for projects.
