Job Description
This exciting role is housed within Honeywell Aerospace’s Sensing, Guidance, and Navigation Center of Excellence (SGN COE). As an Engineering Technician I in the SGN COE, you will support the Electrical Hardware team in the development and testing of innovative products and solutions. You will play a key role in ensuring the quality and performance of hardware systems through hands-on testing and troubleshooting.
You will report directly to our Engineering Manager and you’ll work out of our Minneapolis, MN location. This role is specifically tailored to working in Honeywell’s storied Ring Laser Gyro development lab, with an emphasis on debugging hardware, support of new product development, and production support.
In this role, you will impact the efficiency and effectiveness of engineering projects, contributing to the successful delivery of high-quality products that meet customer needs and regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in the assembly, testing, and troubleshooting of engineering prototypes and products.
- Document test results and assist in the analysis of data to support engineering decisions.
Qualifications
YOU MUST HAVE
- At least one of the following: formal education in a technician field, OR an accredited degree in a STEM field, OR sufficient hands-on experience with electronic hardware.
- Basic familiarity with reading schematics.
- Experience in hardware testing and troubleshooting.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in using testing equipment and tools, such as oscilloscopes and multimeters, to evaluate hardware performance.
