Job Summary:

This position is responsible to recruit and educate potential students about programs offered at Geisinger College of Health Sciences. Recruitment for and education regarding the School is done through attendance at high school and college fairs, national conferences, and individual school visits. The recruiter works directly with high school and undergraduate advisors to assist students with preparing for higher education.

This position is required to conduct business in a professional and cordial manner that will uphold the integrity and reputation of Geisinger
College of Health Sciences. This position maintains a thorough working knowledge of and adheres to the policies, regulations, and procedures of Geisinger College of Health Sciences.

Job Duties:

  • Utilizes all admission information systems for the processing of admission inquiries through matriculation for the programs offered at Geisinger College of Health Sciences.

  • Assists in the development of admission recruitment plans and executes them to support institutional goals.

  • Manages and participates in all aspects of recruitment for GCHS programs.

  • Maintains appropriate contact and outreach with high school and undergraduate advisors and potential GCHS students.

  • Attends high school and college fairs, conferences, open houses, and visit individual colleges and universities to recruit potential GCHS students.

  • Develops travel plans and coordinate meetings with prospective students and high school and higher education advisors.

  • Answers student inquiries and questions as needed.

  • Meets with prospective students for individual recruitment appointments.

  • Assists in the implementation of all admissions recruitment events including open houses, campus tours, individual school visits and appointments in conjunction with other members of the Admissions team.

  • Manages the screening process for assigned applicants

  • Assists with and coordinates the communications plans for respective programs.

  • Facilitates onboarding new students into GCHS by ensuring completion of all pre-enrollment requirements and assisting with updates to pre-enrollment and credentialing materials.

  • Participates in strategic planning efforts for Admissions and Financial Aid and other areas as they relate to students.

  • Serves on Geisinger College of Health Sciences committees as appointed and prepares reports, proposals and related correspondence as required.

  • Attends required meetings and trainings.
