Position Description
The Enterprise Security Analyst I's scope of responsibility includes information security management at the enterprise level. This includes ensuring that necessary safeguards are present, operational, and effective. Discretion and sound judgment is expected. Enterprise positions are restricted for use in central IT Division areas reporting to the institutional CIO and, as such, may interface with key IT leadership and/or other functional leadership from the Texas Tech University System institutions.

Major/Essential Functions
- Assists in network security tasks such as; firewalls, Intrusion Prevention Systems, SIEM, MDM endpoint security software,etc.
- Assist and respond to administrative and technical service requests via email, phone call, service portal etc.
- Assists in installing, monitoring, and maintaining security-related applications and architectures.
- Performs technical risk audits, vulnerability assessments and penetration tests on information systems at all levels including network, system, application, and physical.
- Works with each IT area to assist in the development and technical implementation of security measures.
- Rapidly address security incidents and threats within the organization.
- Assist with active monitoring network security appliances for malware, intrusion, and other security events/alerts.
- Assist with maintenance and configuration of network security appliances and applications.
- Assist with documentation and organization of Information security policies, processes, and procedures.
- Assist with organization of formal internal and external penetration tests on web-based application, networks and computer systems.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Remain current with all licensure, certifications, and mandatory compliance and training requirements for this position.
- Adhere to all policies, procedures, and practices (Regents Rules, TTUS, HSCEP OPs, etc.).
- Personally demonstrate, display and act in accordance with TTUHSC EP's Values (Service, Respect, Accountability, Integrity, Advancement, and Teamwork). Serve as a Value's leader while actively promoting and encouraging staff across the institution.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related area is preferred.
- Professional certifications related to information security or information technology are preferred.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree with coursework in computer science, MIS, IT, or other related area OR a combination of related education and/or experience to equal four (4) years. In accordance with Texas Executive Order GA-48 and applicable state or federal law, this position may involve access to, work on, or conduct research involving critical infrastructure. It will require background checks, including, but not limited to, criminal history and other security-related screenings. Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of these checks.
