About this role
Job Description
As the Associate Program Manager, Enterprise Risk and Compliance, you will help strengthen Best Buy’s Third Party Risk Management, Enterprise Risk Management, and Ethics programs by identifying risk, improving processes, and partnering across the business to drive thoughtful risk decisions. Day to day, you’ll conduct third-party risk assessments, support contract reviews, provide risk guidance to internal partners, contribute to reporting and insights, and help move key program initiatives forward. A successful candidate will bring strong organization, communication, analytical thinking, and the ability to influence without formal authority while staying comfortable in a changing, fast-paced environment. What you’ll do
- Conduct third-party risk assessments and identify potential control gaps.
- Support contract reviews related to vendor security terms and requirements.
- Provide risk guidance to internal partners, business owners, and third parties.
- Support Enterprise Risk Management activities, including risk tracking and reporting.
- Help manage Ethics program activities, including hotline intake, policy review, and training support.
Basic qualifications
- 3 years third party compliance and/or risk management experience or applicable advanced degree.
- 3 years experience assessing risk and evaluating information security controls, business continuity plans, financial indicators, or programs surrounding ethics, legal, compliance, safety, human rights, and environmental concerns or other applicable experience.
- 2 years experiencing developing, implementing, or improving risk or compliance programs.
- 2 years experience with GRC tools and systems or other risk management tools.
- Experience in risk management and compliance concepts, methodologies, strategies, control activities, and relevant frameworks (e.g., ISO 14001, ISO 31000, ISO 27001); up to date knowledge on relevant industry trends, policies, laws, and regulations.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to connect the dots and synthesize complex issues; Advanced critical and strategic thinking skills with the ability to exercise independent judgment in decision-making.
Preferred qualifications
- Applicable advanced degrees (e.g. JD, Masters, etc.)
- Certifications: Certified Enterprise Risk Manager (CERM), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Payment Card Industry Professional (PCIP), Security+, Network+, or SSCP.
