Job Description
This position is based in our Boston, MA office. Candidates MUST be located in the Boston Area.
CDM Smith is seeking an Entry Human Resources Business Partner to join our Corporate HR team. This role provides HR administrative, operations and analytical assistance in support of the firm’s objectives and strategic plans. Maintains HR policies and documentation, prepares and distributes standard HR reports, and delivers day-to-day HR support to internal stakeholders.
*This role is required to be in our Boston office 2 days a week.
Responsibilities include:
• Administers and communicates human resource policies and procedures including but not limited to employment, compensation, benefits, affirmative action, employee relations and relocation, under direct supervision.
• Supports periodic policy audits to ensure compliance with company standards and applicable regulations.
• Addresses/responds to employees' inquiries and information requests regarding human resources' policies and procedures.
• Works collaboratively with human resources team members. Helps brainstorm new approaches, policies and procedures to achieve continual improvement in the efficiency of department and services provided.
• Prepares and distributes standard HR reports on a scheduled basis.
• Assists with basic data analysis and report preparation for HR initiatives and leadership presentations.
• Provides general HR assistance to employees and managers by responding to routine inquiries.
• Serves as liaison for standard processes involving payroll, hires, terminations, and assignment changes.
• Supports HR initiatives such as employee communications, training coordination, and program administration.
• Assists with HR records management.
• Supports internal HR projects, process improvements, and program support as assigned.
• May work with vendors directly as it relates to renewals, invoices, and data requests.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree
• 1 year of relevant experience

Background Check and Drug Testing Information
CDM Smith Inc. and its divisions and subsidiaries (hereafter collectively referred to as “CDM Smith”) reserves the right to require background checks including criminal, employment, education, licensure, etc. as well as credit and motor vehicle when applicable for certain positions. In addition, CDM Smith may conduct drug testing for designated positions. Background checks are conducted after an offer of employment has been made in the United States. The timing of when background checks will be conducted on candidates for positions outside the United States will vary based on country statutory law but in no case, will the background check precede an interview. Additional Compensation
All bonuses at CDM Smith are discretionary and may or may not apply to this position.
