ENVIRONMENTAL LEAD

Description

Principle Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain irrigation systems
• Operate and maintain irrigation wells
• Operate and maintain domestic water system
• Lead team members in executing the farm plan on a day-to-day basis. Monitor crop conditions, irrigation and effluent applications.
• Monitor weed pressure, crop rotation and cattle grazing.
• Maintain roads, fences and other infrastructure.
• Monitor and maintain water delivery or irrigation system
• Maintain effluent application and record keeping

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• High voltage electrical
• Heavy equipment operation
• Mechanical skills on heavy equipment and irrigation equipment
• Knowledge of farm operations
• Knowledge of livestock/cattle operations
• General record keeping skills

Travel: Local travel

Required Qualifications:
•    Strong communication and listening skills
•    6 months previous farm maintenance or electrical experience.                                                                                                    •    Demonstrates ability to solve problems and make decisions independently

• Must have completed high school or equivalent.
• Must have valid driver’s license
