Position Summary Environmental Technician IV (OR Terminal Cleaning) Location: Orlando Health Shift: Full-Time, Monday through Friday Hours: 8:00 PM to 4:30 AM Join Our Team Orlando Health is seeking an experienced Environmental Technician IV to support our Operating Room (OR) environment through end-of-day terminal cleaning and disinfection. This role plays a critical part in maintaining a safe, clean, and infection-free environment for patients, visitors, and team members. Key Responsibilities Perform terminal cleaning and disinfection of OR suites and specialty clinical areas. Clean and disinfect equipment in accordance with infection prevention standards and manufacturer guidelines. Support patient safety initiatives through proper sanitation practices and regulatory compliance. Operate UV disinfection equipment as needed. Maintain cleaning logs, checklists, and documentation accurately. Remove and dispose of waste according to established procedures. Respond to customer needs professionally and effectively. Assist with onboarding and training of Environmental Services team members as requested. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED preferred. Minimum of four (4) years of experience in Environmental Services, healthcare support services, hospitality, or a related field. Experience with perioperative room equipment and room setup required. Certified Surgical Cleaning Technician (CSCT) certification preferred. Strong knowledge of infection prevention, cleaning, and disinfection practices. Why Orlando Health?
