About this role

The Director of Catastrophe Services is a key leadership role within ESIS Catastrophe Services and has a matrix reporting relationship to the AVP, Catastrophe Services.

Job Duties:

  • Lead and manage all aspects of large catastrophic events for clients, regardless of location or timing
  • Ensure effective workflows, best practices, controls, tools, and resources are in place to deliver high-quality service and claim outcomes to customers
  • Develop and maintain an ESIS variable adjuster resource plan to support timely and effective deployment of internal resources as needed
  • Complete initial and ongoing annual training on CatAdvantage and CAT workflows
  • Prepare, analyze, and distribute management reports as needed
  • Ensure the CATAdvantage interface operates effectively and partner with vendors to support continuous improvement
  • Collaborate with and manage vendor partners, including independent adjusters
  • Be available for short-notice deployment anywhere in the United States for extended periods of time

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 10 years of claims experience, preferably involving property damage, including at least 2 years of supervisory experience
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in a catastrophe claims environment
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent business experience
  • Ability to consistently deliver results
  • Demonstrated strategic thinking and leadership in claims handling capabilities
  • Strong influencing and partnership skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with clients, external stakeholders such as community leaders and government agencies, ESIS/Chubb senior executives, ESIS field claim offices, and vendor partners
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a professional, positive approach
  • Strong time management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt in a changing environment
  • Self-motivated and innovative, with the ability to set direction, manage own work, and effectively achieve results through others
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze workflows and implement continuous improvements
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

An applicable resident or designated home state adjuster’s license is required for ESIS Field Claims Adjusters.  Adjusters that do not fulfill the license requirements will not meet ESIS’s employment requirements for handling claims. ESIS supports independent self-study time and will allow up to 4 months to pass the adjuster licensing exam.

The pay range for the role is $98,000 to $142,000. The specific offer will depend on an applicant’s skills and other factors. This role may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program.  Chubb offers a comprehensive benefits package, more details on which can be found on our careers website.  The disclosed pay range estimate may be adjusted for the applicable geographic differential for the location in which the position is filled.
