About the Role & Program

The Branded Content & Marketing team develops high-level creative campaigns and concepts at the highest level. Our team of Art Directors, Copywriters and Designers, work in a collaborative environment where creativity flourishes. We build relationships with clients and internal teams to develop work with creative insight.

We are seeking an intern with a background in writing (art directors welcome) with a passion for sports and comedy. The ideal candidate is on top of current sports and ESPN trends and demonstrates a strong desire to shape culture. You will report to an Associate Creative Director and assist in bringing the most innovative linear/social/digital solutions to our clients.

The program dates for this role are June 1st through August 7, 2026.

What You Will Do

  • Partner with fellow creatives to ensure output of TV and social content

  • Assist in conceptualizing creative that is at the cutting edge of new innovations and trends, providing your own ideas and interests that follow briefs from the client, strategy and account services team

  • Maintain the team’s creative vision across internal and external accounts and ensure ESPN brand consistency from a tone, copy and visual point of view

  • Stay on top of trends and themes across ESPN shows and talent as well as sports in general

  • Manage multiple projects and prioritize workload to meet deadlines, reviews, and final delivery dates

  • Enhance presentation skills by communicating ideas effectively in creative reviews, both verbally and through polished visual storytelling

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Demonstrate creative thinking and originality through coursework, projects or professional experience, applying ideas across different formats and platforms

  • Demonstrated passion for sports and sports culture, staying curious about trends across leagues, teams, and ESPN programming

  • Work collaboratively in a team environment, maintaining the group’s culture of growth

  • Manage time effectively for assigned tasks, balancing multiple projects while meeting deadlines

  • Portfolio of work demonstrating originality, innovation and multi-disciplinary thinking across your work

Preferred Qualifications & Skills

  • Contribute to campaign-level ideas that can scale from social to larger multi-platform executions, with guidance from senior creatives

  • Apply compelling scripting, bring concept statements to life and reflect appropriate tone and brand voice for different clients

Education

  • Junior or Senior year preferred

  • Major or previous coursework in Graphic Design, Marketing, Communications or related major preferred

Eligibility Requirements & Program Information

Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all of the below requirements:

  • Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at time of application OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship

  • Current Disney Interns, College, International, or Culinary Program Participants: You may only work for ONE consecutive year (12 months) in any combination of an internship and/or program

  • Be at least 18 years of age

  • Possess unrestricted work authorization

Additional Information

  • Able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the internship

  • Fully available from Monday through Friday for the duration of the internship, 40 hours each week

  • Able to provide own housing for the duration of the internship program in the New York City area

  • Able to provide/have reliable transportation to/from work

The pay rate for this role in New York is $22.50 per hour. Select benefits may be provided as
